BEST FRIEND

  • BEST FRIEND

Many people, not all, go through different best friends throughout life. However, usually a person only has one real, true best friend in all that time. A best friend is not only someone you have a good time with, it is also someone you believe you can trust your life with. A best friend is the first person you call when the most amazing things happen in your life, and when the most horrific incidents happen. A best friend is the person you will always remember no matter what comes about. Some people lose the only true best friend they will ever have, and even when they get new "best friends". that old, real best friend is always on their mind. A best friend is almost like real family, a best friend gives the opinion you usually care most about. A best friend is the one who tells you the things you absolutely need to hear regardless of whether you want to hear it or not. A best friend is the person you usually can be around always and never get sick of. A best friend is someone you don't envy, and is the person you are grateful to have as a friend. A best friend is the one who will forgive you always, even when you've screwed up so bad. And a best friend is the one who even though you may have drifted apart from, when the time comes for them to hug you or congratulate you on an accomplishment or to console you on a loss. They are the number one person you want to see, always because they are the person you've confided the most in and they are the person who knows you the best. even when you both have changed. Your real, true best friend is your comfort zone.

FRIENDS TOGETHER…..SHOPS TOGETHER

FRIENDS TOGETHER…..SHOPS TOGETHER

Friendship … is not  something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t  learned anything.  Our closeness to each other started when we are first year student of Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan. Bonding with them makes my day happy and everyday has a party because  we are always  laugh so loud because of the jokes that they say.. They are precious as gold my friends at OLPCC..

MY HEROES

MY HEROES

Being someone’s hero isn’t just when you save someone’s life; it is but there is more about just saving someone’s life to be called a hero.
I can say that my parents are my heroes. They are my heroes because they have taught me a lot, they know the value of life, they protect me against all, they always takes care of me, and I know that they love me so much. They also been in my age and must know what I may go in through life and teach me from right and wrong. I really admire my parents therefore I look up to them and they look up to me. They have always been there for me and I have always been there for them. My parents always told me that education is the most important thing in the world and without an education, you can’t get anywhere in life. My parents also tell me to get a really big education because once I become someone, then I can do what I want, I can buy a big expensive house, I can buy a nice car, I can tour to different countries etc. So my parents are my heroes, I appreciate all of the things they’ve done to me and I’m proud to say that I really really love them so much.

youth ministry of San Mariano

Being one of the participants for this big event was one of my dreams when I was a newbie in the youth ministry of San Mariano – the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish - Catholic Youth Ministry.
I started in a Youth Encounter last October 1-3, 2010. That time, I really do not want to join the ministry. I’m just carried by my friends – Lei, Cess and Hamilcah. That youth encounter had an impact with me. I had a one-week silence afterwards. I became an active youth after that, but for some time, I was still not committed. Years passed by, but still, the ministry was open for those who want to come back and I’m one of them. Our youth coordinator, Kuya Jhed, was still there. He doesn’t stop inculcating in our minds the good things we can get from the ministry and from serving God. I can still remember some of his lines: “Be like Mama Mary.” “We will cross the bridge when we get there.” “God will provide and He is with us.”  “Learn to serve others and not to be served.” “Let’s clap our hands three times – Thank You Lord!” All these lines were still in my mind until now. Because of the ministry, I had grown from a childish girl to a matured lady. I found friends in the ministry, not just friends, but brothers and sisters. They know me from the head to my foot. They know my story and they care. I had some experiences on dancing and theater arts because of the ministry. We had even gone to Manila in the celebration of National Sierra Madre Day last September 2012. We had shows for a cause: to help the poor and the needy. We had danced in the fiestas as well as participating street dance for a cause again: to have fund for the outreach programs. I really had so many experiences because of CYM. Although my parents keep on scolding me to get out of the house, packed my clothes and live in the convent, I just let those words come into my right ear and then come out on the other side. Someday, they will realize how the ministry had helped me a lot in my growth and development as a youth spiritually, mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Now I’m a certified CYM member for six years and I’m very proud of it. I had participated and experienced several activities in the diocese like Diocesan Youth Camps and Diocesan Conference for Youth Minsters. I met a lot of people and a lot of good and inspiring stories to tell. Until the day had come, November 11-15, 2015. I joined the National Youth Day at Tuguegarrao City, Cagayan. This was a dream come true and another ideal experience I had. On the first day alone, I had so many realizations through the Holy Mass held at the cathedral and a wonderful experience in the warm welcome of students at Cagayan State University. I can really feel the love in the air that night. Second day had gave me a deeper meaning and understanding of real happiness that money can’t buy. It is being nothing and having nothing. Nothingness brings real happiness – embracing the everyday pain lovingly and letting God work through ourselves holistically. The third day had gave another deeper meaning of having a pure heart. When we live with pure hearts, there’s no room for jealousy, sadness, guilt and madness. There is just one and that is real happiness. I had cried with my foster family. They embraced me with love and care. They let us enjoyed the moment of our youth. The fourth day had gave me the vision to see God – and that is being happy and having a pure heart. One of the speakers told us, “We can see God in the eyes of the poor and rejected. We can see God when we do the good things that pleases Him.” I had met a nun in the Taize learning track. She is Sister Shirley. We admired each other. She told me this: “You had a glow on your face. The appearance tells what the heart was really feels.” Yes, I had that good feeling. Sometimes, I also think to become like her. This NYD gave me an open door to come to the religious life but I’m still searching myself. That day also gave such pressure. I was chosen as the bride who will dance in the Grand Festival Night. This task was not ordinary for I will be dancing in the front of the whole Philippines. I felt so shy but I had the courage to go and believe in myself. Yes, we did it! It was a very fantastic night. We had the NYD wave, cultural dances of the North and live band that made my night really wonderful. As all delegates sang with the song, I looked at the sky and saw three stars which I think symbolizes the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I whispered, “Thank You. Thank You for everything.” Some outstanding people who had sacrificed their comfortable lives just to serve God shared us their stories. They really seek the real happiness in life. The last day had gave me hard feelings that I will be going home and left the community that had built in those five days. I will miss my new friends from different spots of the country. I will miss everything. But the thing that I will not miss is God, because He is here, in my heart. 

If I'll have Another Chance

What about this photo? As to what you can observe, all of the pictures on the right side gives 44 sign.
This photo reminds something to me. August 21, 2015, I tried to join a pageant " Search for Binibining Pillarican 2015". It was my first time to join this kind of competition and I was so overwhelmed because they choose me to represent our Department, TELA ( Teacher Education and Liberal Arts).  We have 6 pairs from different Departments to fight for the crown. Honestly, I'm a little bit nervous because of the number of crowd and their loud shouts and yell but I need to nail it! Feel beautiful and be beautiful in front of them. I gained my overflowing confidence because of my friends, family, teachers and my co-department are there to support me so I need to give my best in the competition. I walked with a big smile and confidence as well, feel the beat of the music and wowed the audience inside the gymnasium. Here comes the question and answer portion. It is the time for me to give my very best to answer the question. Honestly, Patrick Jaylord, Clariz and I had a practice for it. The question goes with a picture and you need to share something about it. The picture that I had was the SAF 44 or the Fallen 44 of the Mamasapano Massacre in Mindanao.
It was so embarrassing because I said SAF 16 instead of SAF 44! Actually, I corrected it and said SAF 42? and the crowd started to laugh out loud! Until I realized that it was 44. That time, I was so down and shocks! I feel so dumb :'( I was so embarrass and of course I'm so shy of the shame that I gave to my Department. But the show must go on. I stood tall in front and still feel beautiful and who cares? Everyone commits mistakes. That time I was crowned as Ms. Love 2015. Not bad. At least I know that my friends, family, teachers and my co-department are still proud of me. I'm so thankful because they still love me despite of what happened. If  I will have a chance to say something about the SAF 44, it will goes this way "the picture that we have in front of us are different images of a heroes. They are what we call SAF 44. I considered them as a hero because they really contributed their lives to save our beloved country. As a Pillarican students who are rooted to Christ, the only thing that we can contribute to them are prayers. Prayers for their souls to be saved, prayers for their family who left behind and prayers for them to have their justice. And for the SAF 44, we salute all of you! that will be all, Thank You". Nice right? But that's it.Past is past. I know and I believe that everything happens for a reason. Because of what happened, I became a better person and I gained a lot of friends. I also embraced my mistake instead of crying and hiding from it. I learned from it! And I am so proud of myself because I was able to surpass it. This experience will be my edge to anyone and I will never forget what happened. This will serve as my lesson to aim higher and be better. Be proud of what you are and be who you are.:)

I'll just share some of our experiences when we tried the beauty of this Tourist Spot in Isabela.
November 21, 2015 I and my co-English majors tried this kind of adventure since we don't have our class. We are so excited to try all of the rides and see all inside the museum. Upon arriving in the said place, we hurried up to look whats inside the museum until such time that we saw a lot of beautiful artworks and all of our minds was filled up of information about our ancestors and the history of San Luis. After that, we also tried the rides like zip line, rock climbing and rappelling. At first, we are a little bit afraid because it was so high and lengthy but of course we need to face it and have fun with the ride. Atlas! We made it! It such a great experience as well as bonding with my friends. I can say that it is one of the memorable part of being a college student. If there will be a time, we will go back again in this place and have another happier moments with them. See you there! :D
